How armor works

The armor absorbs part of the damage you take in game, but it only protects your chest, torso and head (helmet). Your extremities (arms & legs) are not protected by armor.

100% armor is as effective as 30% armor, if you survive consecutive rounds you don't need to replenish armor right away. The maximum amount of armor you can lose in one round is 52 so rebuying when you're around 40 should be safe.

How armor works, it decreases the damage you take to your health points, and that value is subtracted from the armor value. For example, if a weapon does 38 damage to an unarmored opponent and 31 damage to an armored one, that means that the armored person would lose 7 points of armor per hit, along with the health points lost.

Another important thing, having armor prevents the aimpunch effect, which makes your aiming more accurate even if you get hit first.
